I've had bilateral CTS and Cubital T S for years, had successful surgery on my dominant had a year ago, and was hoping to to the other hand soon. (key is having a great surgeon) However, I've been hit with a set back that makes CTS seem like a piece of cake. A herniated lumbar disk (l4-l5). I'm loopy on pain drugs, and at this point can't even walk due to severe sciatica. Had an epidural steroid injection, and am currently worse after that. However, the CTS symptoms just aren't there anymore (presumably due to the vioxx, vicoden, tylenol with codeine and percocet I'm taking). Since I'm our family's sole breadwinner, I've got to get back to work soon...so, am asking for your collective good wishes and prayers. I've now decided that legs and mobility are even more important that a painless wrist!
