-Right, and the hand surgeon is going to want to do surgery because that is all he knows how to do!! It sounds like you have some form of repetitve strain injury on your arms. What it may be, who knows at the moment. What I do know is that it is probably overuse of your muscles which now have spasms, or are so overtight that they cause you pain. You would do well, and probably save time, money and agony to visit a licensed massage therapist who specializes in deep muscle therapy and specifically trigger point therapy. The LMT will massage the muscles that are causing your pain.
