: Now I have a few more problems to discuss. I have irritable bowel syndrome and something called diverticulitus also. I have had several problems related to this including three colonoscopys, upper GI's, and lower GI's and some other tests all of which were rather unpleasant. however during this process the gastro doc found a polyp which he said could have eventually turned cancerous, so it was not all for nothing. anyway what i'm getting at is I can't take any kind of NSAID's it causes bleeding in my insides and 2-3 days locked in the bathroom with a new triple roll of charmin. I have tried all of them from Ibuprofen to arthritec to vioxx...So my doc basicly tells me to work through the pain. He won't give me anything at all. I am constantly in pain, I have been to the ER twice in the middle of the night because it hurt so bad. all I get from the doc is that I'm too far out from surgery to prescribe pain meds. basicly telling me that their policies are the bottom line and not the patients. when I go to see him, they have two cahirs and the bench thing, if I don't sit in the right chair they ask me to please move to the other chair. Like it really matters. however when I start complaing to him about the pain and symptoms he clams up. tells the nurse that " he will see me back in two weeks" and then she turns and repeats it to me. But no one ever acknowledges anything that I just told them. This is why I get the feeling that he is going to just discharge me one of these days, just like my old gastro guy did. John it sounds too weird for me to comprehend and I'd get outta there and find someone else. Asking you to sit in a different chair sounds odd, and then talking to you through a nurse sounds even odder (it that a word?)lol. But worse, is not acknowledging what you just said.. Don't stand for that behavior, find a different doctor, one who at least pretends to be normal:) You are probably right, this oddball will discharge you and that'll be it.. Beat him to the punch and demand your records and see someone else.. Sounds to me like he act as if its all in your mind.
