My symptoms-help!

for three months now I have numbness and tingling in some fingers/at times all of them-my grip is weak/I also have some swelling in the wrist area and up my forearm and feel it in my forearm-the moment I do anything my wrist area starts to swell-I get burning in my hand-I type at work-barely make it thru the day. -my emg was neg/steroid shot given -helped only a little bit-I am having a severe symptoms-up all night-(i did hit my arm on something 3 months ago) saw ortho surgeon he gave me the shot and I am to f/up-xray was neg--saw rheumatologist who thinks it is carpal but not quite sure-wants me to try the new low energy laser technique...(please note I have a cerv hnp but both dr's do not feel it is related) I was told by the surgeon you can have a neg emg-the swelling and numbness is driving me crazy-splint helps only a little-at first thought it was double crush"also been on antiflammatories##I my arm gets a weak ache feeling-like having a stroke except with tingling..(I am 48) HELP
