I think it would be alright to take that amount.
For almost five years I took 400 mg Motrin (ibuprofen). Finally I did develope mild nose bleeds and was tested for clotting time, etc, and all was fine. My doctor/HMO did not think that Motrin caused the nose bleeds, but later I found out through a dentist that, Yes indeed it was one of the side effects that may happen. I simply cut the dosage down and the nose bleeds stopped instantly. I am still taking it today and feel fine.
