Di Best thing is to do is follow DRS advice.I didn't do anything for ten days until sutures were removed.I was advised not to get the gauze wet,because of infection risk and not to even attempt bending my wrist. I did some simple finger exercises.After the sutures were removed my DR told me to soak my hand in warm water for 15 minutes daily. I used JOHNSONS FOOT SOAP solution to soak my hand. Sometimes I just have to be a rebel.It worked great to soften the dry skin.
