Very good observation...that must be what they do, is let the balloon out and then remove it. But, as you mentioned, how long will that last? Something made the CT become crushed or collapse, so what is stopping it again from doing the same? You have the treat the original cause, or you will be back in the same position again.

: That was interesting and I tried "googling" it and came up with limited info like you did. I have computer access to a college library so I will see if I can find something there. It sounds like an angioplasty (like they do on veins), where they fill up the balloon, stretch out your ligament, then empty the balloon and pull it out leaving xtra room. I don't know how long that would last for though.
