I drive with one hand, as one hand's fine after being fixed 8 years ago, and the other's on the slow boat to recovery, so I can't drive with it yet. I tend to grip the steering wheel at about 6pm a lot, I can drive a straight line with minor corrections without having to hold my hand in the air. The back or heel of my hand can rest on my leg. Of course, how close you sit to the wheel, tilt position etc, may or may not make this an option. I'm so short i end up an inch or so away from the wheel to reach the pedals comfortably.
