Sorry to hear your news. Looks like it's time for some alternative therapies huh? Have you tried Bromelain? It's the stuff found in fresh pineapple & a very good natural anti-inflammatory. Expensive in tablet form though. Maybe the massage thing to break down the scar tissue might help too.

I've a feeling you won't accept the 'live with the pain' theory so hope very much you will find the solution.
