Yes it is the one you hold in your hand, which for me is an advantage becasue I can keep my arm at the correct and comfortable angle, I'm tall and my work desk is not at the proper height. If you don't have that issue then the stationary one might be the one for you to try....
But honestly, I pick mine up and put it down alot, to do regular typing and flipping through reports and the like and haven't found it an annoyance. But that's me and we're all different. But let us know what you end up doing/using and how it works out. Alot of us have "mouse issues"....:>)
