: Has anyone had success using trackballs or wrist wraps or wrist pads?

: My wrist and palm are sore from some intense programming over the last few weeks. Last night my arm kept me up with a numb pain.

: On this site I see links to a rocketmouse, but that looks pretty awkward for a software developer.

: Has anyone used the following products (or can suggest one)?

: Logitech trackball "marblemouse"
: logitech thumbball "trackman"
: Belkin waverest wrist/mouse pad
: Promedics wristeasy wrist brace (or similar thing)
: Keyboard wrist rest (though its really mouse use that is killing me, not typing, but Im open to the idea that this won't last forever)

: Anyone use that wild keyboard from safetype?

Hi Doug,
I am an accountant who developed cts in my right wrist from mousing, numerical keyboard and my calculator. I have been using a comprable to the logitech thumball (I think). I is small I hold it in my hand and use my thumb on a small trackball in the middle of it. The nice thing about it is that I can easily use it left handed and can rest my hand in my lap or any other comfortable place. I love it with the exception that I worry about ending up with tendonitis in my thumb, I have been using it thus far (since July) with no real problems though. I use it almost continuosly during the day and have worn out one already, they aren't as "sturdy" as a regular mouse. But for now I give it the thumbs up, I definilty like it much better than a traditional mouse.
Good luck!
kitty
