I had mine diagnosed by a neurologist and had the nerve conduction velocity testing done. It showed carpal tunnel. I was then sent to a surgeon. My os would not do the surgery without the NCV test. The day i was scheduled, I heard him tell another patient that they had to go get the test done before he'd consider doing the procedure on them.
