Hi Alan, I'm glad to hear all went well. Good luck for tomorrow, with the sitches being removed. It shouldn't be a problem.
As for driving, I was told not to use my hand for eight week, apart from the post op exercises and brushing my teeth. My hand feels so good (apart from the scar tissue), that's hard not to use it. Ah well, only three weeks to go. At least it gets me out of the washing up! :)

: Well, I had my op (open sugery under Local) on 6th January and it all went well - Seems to have done the trick (so now that is both hands working again). I had no discomfort but the stitches are beginning to pull now but I have those out on 20th. Then I will start the massaging 3 or 4 times a day with E45 to break down the scar tissue. I have been a good boy and done all my hand exercises - no puns from the perverts please!!! I just wonder when I will be able to start driving again as it is my handbrake hand - The medics said 4 weeks but others said as soon as the stitches are out. I think that if you are not to lift anything for 6 to 8 weeks then you should not be pulling on handbrakes as that has the same effect. Oh and a solicitor has accepted my claim for compensation so that I can get compensation from my employers.
