You could consider some modifications, like an ergonomic keyboard, a trackball mouse, etc. It might be conceivable to ask the company to get an "ergonomic workstation consultant" (my terminology) to advise on what you need to keep your same job yet not kill your wrists. I find a trackball much easier to use, and here at home, typing is easier and not painful if I rest my elbows on the arms of a chair and have the keyboard in my lap. Like melanie said, everything these days uses the hands. I know of no job that doesnt. all I think of that is reasonably possible is to ask for accomodations to try and prevent further issues.
