I have been told to do the finger exercises, but not to flex the wrist to the extremes of it's range of motion, because it takes a month for things to heal enough to tolerate that. I do what is callled tendon gliding exercises flexing each joint group of the fingers, and moving the thumb back and forth, but I'm not allowed to do the wrist flexion yet.
