They feel I should have surgery on both hands. My appointment with my primary care doctor is next week. I'm wondering what now? Should I get a second opinion and if I have the surgery, what is the rehab. time? I use a computer a good part of my day at work, will I need to find a different job after all this is done? Not sure where to go with all this. Hi Milissa If surgery is recommended I'd say go for it. It's very minor stuff & even if it doesn't cure, it's sure to take some pressure off the median nerve & give you relief from your symptoms. The surgery itself is nothing to be worried about. I'd be more scared of the dentist. Take your time, find out as much as you can about cts & its treatment but don't believe ALL you read. There's a whole lot of BS on this internet!
