My employer sent me to a "Doctors on Duty" clinic. The Doctor there decided that I "might" have carpal tunnel. She wasn't sure because I have pain other than the standard symptoms.

My problem now is that every other Dr that I've seen has just worked off of her guess. Even when I went sent me to the neurologist--he didn't even bother doing the EEG--just stuck me in the arms and sent me on my way.

The only other person who even mentioned that I might have more than just CTS was the physical therapist--an no one else cares what he thinks about it.

The orthopedic guy sent me to a hand specialist because my x-rays were odd. He said that he thought it might be more than CTS and wanted to make sure that i got the proper treatment.

on my second visit to the hand specialist he still had not looked at the x-rays and did not remember what we had talked about in the previous visit. Then he said that he wasn't really sure if it was CTS, but he wanted to do the cortizone shot anyway--and insisted that no matter what i would have to have surgery eventually.

The point of all my ranting--it seems that just because I am in on a WC claim they just want to rush me through the system. They don't listen to me, they contradict themselves when they answer my questions, and they don't seem to really care to figure out what is really wrong with me.

Does anyone have any advise on how to wake me out of this WC nightmare? The Dr's are scary and the infrequent pay is killing my already shaky credit.
