The state government introduced workers comp to protect employers and not the employee. The employers pay peanuts premiums and they know these premiums cover them from liability even when negligence is cited as a source of work injury. This leads to negligence because safety to employees cost money at least the initial phases of implementation. The culture of workers comp created a hazardous workplace and employers unwilling to invest real money in safety for employees. If the permiums for Workers Comp cover are invested in promoting safety at work place we will have less injuries.
: Workers' Compensation Update : Critics slam workers' comp plan (By Steve Lawrence, Associated Press) : State worker's comp system plagued by soaring costs : Beyond that, the person would need to explain re: the post about all this that led to my looking for some things that may explain... still not sure what the person wants any of us to do. : : You may have some valid points here. I haven't checked into the issue yet. But I will and will give my thoughts on it. Yet, I don't understand why you wouldn't use your name for such a post unless it is politically motivated....Including your name, even an alias, would have given you more credibility. I'm always skeptical of anyone unwilling to identify themselves when "speaking" about something so important to them.....
