It dawned on me that the teensy bit of lidocaine in it might help with the hypersensitivity issue as well as provide aloe and vitamin E for healing. Well, I tried it, and it worked. It had enough slipperiness to be a decent massaging lubricant and I can still feel, but it's not as sensitive as it was, which is wonderful. The desensitization doesn't last a long time (minimal amount of lidocaine in the gel I used), but even the short period of relief is welcome. : : : Maybe this idea might help someone else. Let me know if you try it. : : : : Good thinking DMM! One product that may be of interest is a product called ScarMassage. It works slowly, but does work. I will try to link the page below. If you key in scar massage in a search engine, you should find a good bit more. : Corey : http://www.mothernature.com/shop/detail.cfm/sku/85624 This looks like it'd work, but I can't use it at this point as i've got a little bitty spot that's not quite closed, and scabs on the stitch marks. The sunburn gel works fine, and doesn't irritate, at this stage of healing.
