I went looking for you on the Internet, because I was gonna send you a hiya. And then here you show up with Carpal Tunnel.

I have it, had it (although I suspect a lot of my trouble now is plain old arthritis).

I got really numb in both hands, with turning blue in the cold, etc. Pain in the wrists. I did everything everybody suggested to try to avoid surgery -- splints for months, PT, exercises, vitamins, etc. -- you name it. I recommend just going directly to the surgery. It was wonderful, easy and quick, and I had feeling again immediately in the recovery room.

Do NOT have both wrists done at once. Do the surgery when you can let your wrists and hands rest for a while.

Do find an orthopedic hand surgeon who does tiny, tiny cuts in the palm of the hand. Some guys leave a zipper scar on the wrists, and you don't want that. You could not find my scars if you looked under a magnifier, I'd bet.

I still hurt, but at least i can feel my fingers now, and I no longer look as though I had been playing in a vat of USDA purple in cold weather.

Now: How are you otherwise. I presume jaw miseries are long gone, and that you're enjoying your Swedish lady!
