The "tingling" and "numbness" I had went away fairly quickly. And this is after the neurosurgeon concluded that I had extensive damage to the ulnar nerve. In that regard, the nerve healed quickly. However, even months after my surgery, I'm still dealing with extensive pain in the elbow. He also told me that there could be scar tissue that built up inside the nerve fibers that would never heal and I'd "have to live with" the pain. I HATE when physicians say that crap!! Let THEM live with the pain. Meanwhile, give me some pills to take. All in all, I'm very happy with the surgery. But I wish I wasn't having to "deal with" the pain on a daily basis. Especially since most physicians around here are so scared of the DEA they underprescribe pain mediation....
