Try showers, they're easier. I just put a small garbage bag over the arm and taped it there. Keeping hand up the whole time kept the water running toward elbow and away from the wrappings.
Not the easiest, but easier than a bath would be for me, as I have a bad knee. Fortunately the previous owner of my house had a grab bar installed on the tub/shower wall above the soap dish. It's been a real help with the knee being what it is.
