That sucks about your stitches! I'm out of this *#@%! cast on Tuesday & they'll take stitches out then. I'm a little nervous to have it exposed. I guess it'll let me know if I do something it doesn't like! Sounds like you're doing pretty well. Are tou as crabby & aggravated as I am? Taking a bath is like a major Pilates workout w/ this stupid cast!

: The visit went kinda okay, dr says things look good so far. One of his techs took out 2 of the stitches successfully, but cut off the knots on the other 2, leaving the loop under the skin level too far down to pull out. They told me that if the stitches don't work themselves out before the next visit in 3 weeks, then they'll have to take further action. They cleaned up and steri stripped the whole incision, to keep the skin tension from pulling on the one area that's still a bit open. The whole wrist/palm area is hypersensitive, as I expected it would be. They said that I don't need to keep it bandaged anymore, but I am going to for now because of the hypersensitivity at the incision area.

: I am to avoid extreme range of motion with the wrist, but can flex it some as well as work on the tendon gliding exercises. I'm still icing it when I need to. I can barely manage to hold a soda can for 30 seconds, and cant quite manage to turn the wrist and drink it. I tried, and it hurt. So, time to wait for things to keep mending.
