Loss of feeling in fingertips As I mentioned before, I had found a reference where CTS can cause the outer wrist bone to protrude due to the muscles pushing the carpal bones out of place. With TFCC tears, EMGs show up as being negative (of course); only an MRI would show it. The interesting thing is that, normally, the most common symptom for TFCC tears is a "popping" sound when you move the wrist -- but that's not necessarily true in all cases. Otherwise, the symptoms are just like CTS. So get those MRIs!!!
