May I borrow your outlook sometime :) I love it! I wish I would have felt as you do before I had mine (EMG?NVC); it surely would have helped. I ended up feeling a ton of fear/anxiety prior and, it's as you said: there are other things that are far worse to have done.

: I've already read quite a bit on nerve conduction studies & come to the conclusion that they're not very reliable. If I get back to the guy who did my hands he may not even bother wasting time doing them. He didn't bother before my cts surgery. Like I've said before, far better to read the patient than the machine when it comes to some of these tests - I know this because I'm a registered nurse.

: Shouldn't imagine I'll need my mother or anyone else there LOL She was only there this time because the round trip to the hospital was 4 hours. I rarely get time to spend with her, so we just used it as an opportunity to spend some time together & have lunch.

: It would take far more than an emg to stress me out. LOL I'm quite sure it's absolutely nothing to get even remotely tense about. I've had far worse things done to me.

: : : Thanks all for your good wishes regarding my long awaited appointment with the hand surgeon today. The man granted me precisely FOUR Minutes of his precious time! TRUE. My mother was outside & timed it! It became clear that because I'd had cts surgery by another surgeon that he knows personally, he really didn't want to treat me. He said he'd been unable to trace my file as the referral hadn't stated who the cts surgeon was.
