In addition to the physical damage that can be measured and there is a rigrous but rather stupid way to evaluate it. I believe two things are missing in evaluating disability is completely ignored: 1- Loss of endurance to do physical work. Most tests I saw they measure the grip and stretch for a single moment. The patient grips for a moment most likely using the energy available. But if the grip lasts few seconds extra the ability is completely diminished. Unfair for disabled workers. 2- The mental disability results from CTS. This is of particular interest to those workers whose work deman mental clarity and processing knowledge. After 4 years of CTS suffering and going through sleep deprivation, my mental ability to process technical issues which I used to be very good at is diminished. This is a tragic loss and handicaps me in the job market. Does any body have any smilar experience? |
