Hello well I went to the orthopedic specialist today he gave me a cortizone shot right in the right wrist..(talk about a big needle) Anyway of course he says the only way to make it better is surgery!!! I have to see him in a month,and talk more about it.
I asked him why all of the sudden I have gotten this..Let me explain to you all...
For the past few months while watching t.v.laying down with hands on my chest or stomach i would notice a little numbness in my hands..Then I went back into nursing assistant position 2 months ago and now it is bad..I asked him why all of the sudden,,he just said it could be a combination of everything..It is not like I am at a computer doing typing all day or anything.
But going back into healthcare by lifting people with what is called a "gait belt" and using that to lift people I think made it worse..Because when using one of these things you totally use your wrist and hand with the belt around their stomach/waste to lift from chair to standing position and I think by doing that I have created this..This also is my livelyhood,,and as hard of work as it is,,I love my residents and get fullfilled knowing I help them...But yet I have no desire to go to school and be a nurse...(i know makes no sense) I don't want the added resposibilty..Anyway sorry to ramble on and on,,i have other health issues to that makes me get down..
