LuAnne, I firmly believe in PT!! After surgery, a GOOD physical therapist can get you on the road to recovery alot faster and prevent reaccurances. My opinion, anyway. So have a good one lined up that is on your ins plan. Get some references from people! All you really need to do is tell the Dr that you WANT, DEMAND (if it comes to that), physical therapy. The Dr works for you since you're paying for his services. Unless he has a serious problem with it, at which point he should be able to articulate to you, he should write a referral for PT. It costs him nothing for you to go to PT. It certainly can't hurt even if it doesn't help. Bottom line, is you are the customer in this store!!! Steve
