No test is absolute.. With CT nothing is guaranteed.. From reading this board I've learned that each of us is unique with different symptoms, treatments, outcomes.. I would like to advise you and all newcomers to read a post by Adam.. Go to page 2 of this board, Adams subtitle is *flextend, Surgery, VooDoo, & Stretches for that matter*. Message number 16742....
Especially pay attention to sentences 5 through 8 & you will learn much..

Testing, surgery, meds, non surgery, recovery, & attitudes can be different for each of us.. Personally I think some people get ct surgery only to find out later that their pain/numbness was caused by something other than ct.. Did they need ct surgery then? I don't know, & they probably don't know for positive either. Maybe they & their doctors thought so at the time & only found out later that it wasn't so..

I don't mean to sound negative, but ct is hard to pin down..Sometimes its hard to get a correct diagnoses on it.. So if in doubt, get all the tests you can get & don't rely on just one test before you make a decision on whats wrong with your hands or what to do about it..

I personlly know several people who had ct surgery & are still well years later.. But you will meet people on here that had it done & the ct came back or they had something else wrong in the first place.. Melani's doctor cut her nerve & disabled her. Another person had a successful surgery & outcome.

Find a good doctor, one you trust, get tests, and do whatever you think is best & pray alot.. What else can a person do!! But always keep in mind that there are no guarantees on anything in life.
