When I had my surgeries done I worked at a firepleace factory and was sent back to work the Monday after surgery-one handed light duty. I had surgery on my other hand 3 weeks after the first and was sent back 1 1/2 weeks after that light duty...lol They didn't know what light duty was so I did finally get restrictions from the doctor, nothing over 2 lbs, break when I needed it and ice packs made available to me. WC wanted me back to work the Friday following the first surgery which is when the doctor's asst. yanked out my stitches then when he saw me and the pain I was in gave me the rest of that day and weekend off. One thing I stress as others here do also try to have as much time off as you can it's very important for the surgery to be succesful. |
