Hi, Robin... A lot of people here have had the surgery more than once, not all of them are successful, and if you go back to doing the same thing that caused your carpal tunnel, you run the risk of having it reoccur... Others here are more knowledgeable on this, I hope they'll respond to you with more info:) Linda
