Seems to me if it started while typing at work, then its work related.. I don't believe that typing causes the sort of discomfort you speak of.
My daughter also has tendonitis in her wrist from typing on the computer at work. She has taken three steriod injections in her wrist & was helped by it, but only for awhile. It always comes back.. She wears a wrist splint while on the computer now & says it does help a bit. Maybe you could try that for awhile..

Personally I would take the word of the ER doctors over the WC docs.. After reading this board for so long, I have come to believe WC doctors are paid to protect the employers, not the workers.. In other words they were bought..

If you continue having problems to the point where it prevents you from working, then you had best get yourself a good attorney to look after your welfare.
