Grip strength between thumb and first finger have been reduced somewhat for a few years now. Last Wednesday I lifted the door handle on my husband's truck and did "something" to my left hand. Now getting dressed, washing dishes, laundry (almost everything) is painfull and my hand and fingers to a lesser extent are swollen. As we have no health insurance coverage, does anyone know of any exercises, etc. that could be of benefit? Pushing with my right thumb just to the thumb side of center on my wrist generates the most pain. Any insight would be much appreciated. Kay I would try ice, advil and wearing a splint "part time" to see if this helps or not.. If not, then a doctor should take a look at it.. Just my opinion & hope it helps you somewhat..
