Bone rubbing on bone sure does hurt...They do not make artifical joints for the base of the thumb, so it looks like we are stuck trying to find our own answers.. I might try MSM soon. Will be looking into both remedies..

Hi Debbie,
How is the fire situation by you? I thought I heard recently that they were somewhat contained.
I am definitly going to try what Corey and Alan suggested. I'll let you know how it goes. You are right, bone rubbing bone is painful and it is much worse since my fall. I had a teeny bit of pain in that area before my surgery, but never even mention it to my surgeon. So I didn't know until this last set of x-ray that I have arthritis, I guess the fall just aggrivated it. Plus the last couple of days out here have been really wet and cold, which of course makes it even worse! I'm sitting here at work with a heating pad on my hand/wrist! hee,hee.
