I agree with you also and again that is one of the wonderful things about this board, the variety of opinions and experiences. I am not pro surgery in any way and feel (for me anyway) it shouldn't be done unless there are no other alternatives, but that is my personal belief and I don't expect anyone else to live by that but me. My point is this board is SO diverse and that's what I love about it....I love hearing about your success with flextend and Dee's success with cold laser, it so uplifting to see all the choices we now have. I didn't mean to insuinuate anything about your opinions of doctors, it's hard to get get your real feelings/opinions across with typing :>) And I agree with scar tissue issue, and because of this board I know about it and how to help avoid it, and also even a "good" doctor can make a mistake, as my surgeon informed me before he operated, that because I was doing endo, there was a chance a nerve could be cut. But my point is that I was informed....and it was my choice personally.
I totally understand and respect where you are coming from, everyone is unique and different.

I do not think failed surgeries are always due to the doctor, as a matter of fact, it is the surgery itself that I don't agree with. I beleive that there are many, many great doctors who perform the surgery perfectly! But, the scar tissue and other complications that often occur are so overwhelming that it is important to me to let people know that there are other choices. Not all those other choices work great either, but at least if you have to have one of those re-done, it isn't causing you to have to go under a knife again, you know?

It helped me tremendously when it was time to decide on a course of treatment and the thing that kept and keeps me coming back here is the variety of experiences. Alot of the other boards are STRICKLY anti-surgery, and I had trouble with that. The people on this board represent all types of therapies, surgeries and ways to deal with a very illusive and tricky disease. That's what I have grown to love about it. All I can do is share my personal experience, which was with surgery, and was successful (so far). Everyone has to choose thier own path and follow it. I agree with you Debbie, their are some wonderful doctors out there, as well as bad ones. Just make sure you do your research.
