Thank you to everyone for the advice! When I called the surgeon's office for a note for my employer, they said it will have me out 4 to 6 weeks. I was going to try like heck to get back within 2 because of month-end, the acquisition of my company, etc. but I'll just tell them now that we'll have to play it by ear.

I'd say that I'm on the computer and/or calculator for 7 out of the 8 hours I'm here. I hate paper on my desk and have tried to automate everything. Lot of good that did me! ha ha

: I am an accountant for a small-mid sized company and has endoscopic ct surgery on my right hand on sept 8th. My recovery went VERY well and I could have gone back to work in two weeks, but my doctor and I discussed it and decided on keeping me out for three weeks.
: Right before I was to go back to work, I injured my wrist in a fall and was out for another week. I had to go back to work a month after surgery(year end for us) and let me tell you it's rough. As accountants we use our dom. hand CONSTANTLY at work, if not on the keyboard, also on the calculator, which for me was a major culprit in my cts.
: I guess my advice to you is to take as much time as you can after surgery, if the doctor is willing to write you out for 6 weeks, then take 6 weeks. Don't rush back, I did only because it was year end for us. It's really hard on the wrist to go back.
