Hi,

I am 3 weeks post-op from CT open release and trigger finger surgery on my left hand. I am happy to report that I have very little pain and no tingling (which was the major reason for surgery). Of course it is still a little tender and I can't fully lean on it quite yet. I had my right hand done back in August and it is feeling really great (about 95% back to normal)!
The first few days were a little painful, but Tylenol 3 worked nicely... then I just took Motrin
for the balance of the time as needed.

Following each surgery, I was out of work for two weeks.
I work in a library/information setting so I work
on the computer and do a lot of book filing etc.. using my hands a lot.

My company has been great working with workmans comp etc... No problems...thus far.
It sounds like I have had an easy experince compared to some of the posts.
I hope everything works out for those that are
considering surgery and for those that are trying
to be diagnosed with CTS.

My diagnosis was quick. I had marked to severe
CTS in both hands according to the nerve test
and I was sent directly to a hand surgeon.
Therapy was not a choice. My main problem was
with my hands constantly going numb, I had to switch off when I drove. Plus, there was considerable pain at night. Not a problem at all now.

Good Luck everyone!
Scott from DE
