As most regulars here know, I had unsuccessful ulnar nerve entrapment surgery in January. It was redone by another Dr about 3 weeks ago. There is some speculation that the first Dr screwed up. Has anyone here sued (filed medical malpractice) for CTS or ulnar nerve entrapment surgery? If so, I'd love to correspond with you to get your experience.

Also, I've filed my claim with Worker's Comp. Even though I'm an avid weightlifter, and I'm sure it contributed to my problems, all the treating Drs believe that it is also work related. Worker's comp denied the claim since the start of my symptoms on the right arm/hand began over a year ago. Although, my contention is that I NEVER knew (or was aware of) that it was work related until recently after I did my own research. After my latest EMG prior to this last surgery 3 weeks ago, they detected new nerve damage to the left arm/hand as well. I've never had ANY symptoms to the left and never knew until recently that this was a problem. Worker's comp is also denying THAT claim even though I reported it immediately after getting the EMG results. In other words, they are "lumping" both hands together ane merely denying them both.

I'm interested in the fights others have had to go through with worker's comp. I'm sure it varies from state to state. I live in TX. I've filed my appeal with Worker's comp after the ins company denied the claim. Worker's comp has received all the documention I've sent. They said that what they do next is to try to mediate the dispute with the ins company and will get back to me within 19 days. What experiences has everyone had? I'd love to correspond through email so I don't tie up the board with lengthy dialogue if anyone wouldn't mind sending me an email...

Thanks in advance for the help!

Steve
