She virtually has no feeling in her fingers and is not able to do most common tasks requiring use of the fingers. My questions are: 1. how long is the recuperation after surgery? - are you able to use your hands at all? 2.Do they usually do one hand at a time? 3. What kind of anesthesia is used? (a general would be a problem for my mom)4. Is there anyone out there who has had this surgery in their 80's? Thanks for your response, clk
