I'm having surgery next week. first I didn't want surgery but 4 months of this stuff is enough. since stopping what I was doing didn't help it seems the way to go. I quit using the computer mouse, that seems to be the culprit that caused the tingling. (I use the mouse with my left hand now and do much less on the computer.) typing really makes it hurt and burn in my wrist so I don't type much. : for Melani, did you have the endo surgery? I've read it's more likely for the nerve to be cut with it. sorry that happened to you! I'm having the newer mini-open surgery. search for these words, mini-open surgery for carpal tunnel syndrome, for information. Hi Donna, Yes I had the endo first. Immediately I knew something was wrong with my hand because I had talked to mulititudes of people. They were back to work in two weeks with no pain at all. When waking up from recovery, I noticed my middle and half the ring finger were totally numb. They only used to be numb on and off. So the doctor tells me its going to take time, lol, been over 2 years and they've not changed. I would try every alternative method there is before doing the surgery and if the results aren't good, please recommmend the open hand release. The doctor can then see where the entrapment is besides using a moniter to insert a knife. Donna I wish the best during your mini surgery. I have a question? can the nerve be seen by the doctor without the moniter? I know several people have had the endo and done great, but the doctor seeing the trapped nerve seems like a far better way to recover and untrap the nerve. Please keep us updated. Let us know the date cause theres lots of caring people right her standing right beside you. Best of luck, Melani
