And Marie, if the doctor tells you that your nerve will only get worse if you don't get surgery, it ain't necessairly so!! I'm living proof that sometimes the nerve gets only so bad and thats all.. I've had this for 15 years now & have not noticed my symptoms getting any worse.. I did give up needlework like cross stitching, etc, which I'm sure helped my nerve rest.. But if and when my nerve makes my symptoms feel worse, I'll be off for surgery in a heartbeat.. I wouldn't want to have my hands feel numb 24/7...
