It helps so much to find out all I can. I will post as to my doctor's visit on next Tuesday. I will keep searching this board for answers. I don't want to be a surgery basher because I've been on this board for over two years now and have seen lots of people getting ready for surgery, having it, was a success, then went on their happy way. Then theres others that had a what they thought successful surgery, went back immediately to the same work that caused the CT in the first place and their CT came back with a vengence. My mom has CT and hasn't had surgery. What she does is wear her wrist band for about 3 days then shes pain free, she exercises her hands every morning and on through the day. She claims if it gets any worse, then shes off to the doctor because of fearing the nerve damaging any worse. Hand and wrist exercises are a big plus in preventing CT. My company had us doing exercises every hour, but for me, they started to late because my CT was full blown. My Ortho cut the median nerve in my hand accidently, so I can't yell hey everybody do it, cause things can happen. But then again, If the nerve hadn't of been cut, I might be yelling its the route to go. So my advice is to try all the alternative ways to try and relieve your nerve, and if that doesn't work, Seek out a highly trained doctor, that will talk to you and explain everything thats to happen, how long you'll be down and what to expect. I was told by my Ortho that I waited to long for surgery and partly the reason that the my nerve was so damaged. So like everyone has said, Seek out the best for you. I wish you the best and we'll all be waiting anxiously for your report Tuesday. Melani
