: I hope you read all the other postings. I don't know what the actual percentages are because, just as you have discovered, it depends on who you read as to the success/failure rate. All I can tell you is that my sister has had 5 UNSUCCESSFUL surgeries. And YES, surgery comes with it's own set of irreversible complications. It can be an amazing thing when it is successful... it can also be a NIGHTMARE when it is not. I chose not to have surgery. I am well now after a one year long fight to recover. So, just like the surgery, therapy and natural methods can be quite successful too. One difference however, you probably will not receive much support or encouragement if you pursue healing without the surgery. I for one say, it's worth it!
