Everything I have read as far as SSDI is not favorable for CTS...there was a Supreme Court Hearing not too long ago that denied a woman for collecting because they did not feel it was total disability...ie..she could dress herself sometimes..she could drive her car to the store (3 miles) she could water her flowers. The ruling stated that CTS-disability would be heard on a case-by-case basis. Not like if you had a stroke or had your legs amputated..no question.

Doctors will give you a disability rating...like you have lost 20% use of your hands..and your settlement will be based on your average weekly earnings X how many weeks the % of your disabilty qualifies for...each state is different. Talk to your lawyer..considering he/she will get up to 20% of your award. Good luck....I will be encountering the same situation very soon...use the internet for your research..there is lots of information just waiting for you out there.
: i was wrongfully discharged from wal-mart while on workmens comp for cts..i have won all my hearings in regards to the comp claim and they finally approved surgery on both hands..i had one done today..my lawyer says they may settle at some point soon..what should i expect...or want...and is this a ssi-disability that i can file...any help or info would be awesome...
